Finance Committee

For which of you, intending to build a tower,
does not sit down first and count the cost,
whether he has enough to finish it?
Luke 14:28

The Finance Committee has around ten members. Its primary role is to support the priests in their responsibility for the management of the parish in the areas of finance, accounts, taxes and audit.

It also looks after the management of the Parish in areas like maintenance, insurance, security, health and safety, value for money, human resources and legal concerns. Each year all of the parish transactions in respect of income and expenditure are audited and presented to the Diocesan Finance Secretariat for inspection.

The Committee meets once every six weeks, with a break during July and August. It has a number of sub-groups looking after specific issues. These groups work outside of the meetings to advance their projects.

If you require more information on this group, please contact the Parish Office.
